If this is your first time hearing about the candy canes and you’re wondering, “What’s the big deal?” These candy canes are hand made and are 18 inches long. Disneyland has been making these candy canes since 1968. They are only made in limited quantities on special days. Last year due to Covid there were no candy canes. We’ve all been anxiously waiting to hear if they were going to continue the tradition in 2021. Now we finally have dates.

Reminder: you must have a park reservation for one of the parks depending on what date you’re going.

  • Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen at Disneyland park: Dec. 7, 9,15, 21, 23
  • Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure park: Dec. 8, 14, 16, 22

For a chance to purchase one of the candy canes this year, a mobile waitlist system will be used, as quantities are very limited. Once the mobile waitlist is activated, you can add your name and phone number at the location to receive a text back with a time to return to the location for the opportunity to purchase your candy cane, subject to availability.** Candy canes are not available through mobile order.

As you can see, this year they will be doing a mobile waitlist, rather than the old system of waiting in line for a wrist band. There is a limit to 1 candy cane per guest.

Are you excited? Will you try to get a Candy Cane?
